We're Back Home..

Salamander was a real, real trooper. He handled it much much better than I had expected.. Personally, I think he handled the whole experience much much better than an 'average' 10 year old would have.

Results should be available in 1.5 - 2 weeks (so now the waiting game begins..). I learned a lot, just be sleeping next to him...

I'll do a more extensive update (both on the procedure itself as well as my thoughts and observations) when I have more time later today...

Me? I am wiped.. I am having a bit of a 'coming off of the adrenalin rush' reaction now (I tend to have my mini 'crash' AFTER all is said and done, as I sure cannot afford to fall apart while stuff is going on..)

I am glad you are both back safe and sound. And that Salamander handled it so well. I hope you get lots of rest today and that the answers come soon.

Thanks so much, for all the online and offline notes of support. I so appreciate it.

Getting the actual outcome of the test will take a little while (and I am so NOT good at waiting for test results). I did notice several 'interesting' things myself over the course of the nite, but as I don't have much of a frame of reference (well, I can compare how Salamander sleeps to how Potatey sleeps, and there are HUGE differences...), I don't know if what I noticed is significant. I AM going to call the pedi's office today to let them know that we did the test and that I am anxiously awaiting the results.

One, kinda weird, observation I have so far is that Salamander, despite getting less sleep on Monday nite than typical, seemed to be more 'with it' and 'in better spirits' yesterday morning at the hospital, than this morning when he got up here. In fact, he did not look good at all this morning, and was quite spacey and 'depressed/sad'.

Now there are also all kinds of things happening in 'detox land' as his UTMs, since starting that new form of B12, have changed (increased metals output and I am seeing metals I have NEVER seen before). So it's hard to tease out what is what.

But I can't help but think 'what if it's the house itself that is contributing to his fatigue/poor sleep'? The house was built in 1900, and I know that it is far from 'green'....His mattrass is also quite old (mold??)..
